PRACTICUM GUIDELINES

The UCLA MIAS program offers enrolled students the possibility of working in a moving image archive setting as part of its Practicum program (MIAS 498). Students are eligible for a practicum once they have completed their first year of residence in the MIAS program.

Student works with their faculty advisors to develop learning objectives and a contract for deliverables as part of the practicum. Students may select from a list of pre-existing practicum opportunities, or may develop an experience with a site supervisor and their faculty advisor. Practica may be paid, or unpaid.
